New music player!

If you’ll turn your attention to the upper right corner of the main page, you’ll notice there’s now a music player there! Hooray! So I’m pretty happy with this particular one, both in terms of look and function. It’s from loveberry, which is an amazing site you should check out for fun snippets of things.

So when trying to decide what songs to include in the playlist, I was a little conflicted. I decided that maybe a smaller selection of songs that I occasionally rotate would be fun for now? One problem with the current player is that while it gives you title and artist, it doesn’t give you an album, which is maybe more useful when it comes to video game music. For instance, one track on there right now, Battle of the Holy, is by S.Fukutake,K.Hanzawa, and H.Funauchi. But you might want to know where it’s *from*, right? It’s from The Castlevania Adventure on the Game Boy. So right now you can’t tell that. While I think having the composers is important, I might go in and change it so that it lists the game instead of the composer as that might be more what people want to know. Things like this are why it’s taken me so long to put up a music player.

Anyway! It’s September and I have Halloween on the brain! So all the music on the player right now is kina creepy themed! We’ve got Mad Monster Mansion from Banjo-Kazooie, Battle of the Holy from The Castlevania Adventure, stage one of Monster Party (specifically when the stage gets creepy!), the town theme from Nightmare on Elm St. on NES, and Transylvania from Ducktales Remastered. I may add a few more too, as I think of them. Hope you like it and it adds some fun atmosphere to your browsing!
